9a,9b - New Skype-project

Welcome back from your winter break! I hope you had a lovely time.

We will carry on reading the book "Holes" for another 3-4 lessons. We will also begin a new Skype-project at the end of this week.

Your assignment will be to make Mystery-Skype calls in groups of 3-4 students. You will call an unknown country and your job is  to find out the location of the other students by asking yes/no-questions. Once you have found out where they are, you have to find out as much as possible about their lives; eg hobbies, food, climate, religion, school etc. You have to take notes during the Skype-session and use a map to find their country/city.

After the Skype-session you will tell the rest of your class what you have found out.
